Safety on Rytmee
Most first dates on Rytmee start with something you both love. These tips help them stay fun.
Before you meet
- Chat in the app first. Take your time, and don’t move to another app until you’re ready.
- A quick video call is a simple way to check someone is who they say they are.
- Never send money, gift cards or financial details to someone you haven’t met — whatever the story. Report anyone who asks.
- Keep personal details (your address, your workplace, your usual running route) to yourself until you know the person.
When you meet
- Meet in a public, busy place: a popular running loop in daylight, a club session, a café. Avoid remote trails for a first date.
- Tell a friend where you’re going, who you’re meeting and when you expect to be back.
- Get there and back on your own, and keep your phone charged.
- Stay in control of your drink, and of your pace — leave whenever you want. You don’t owe anyone an explanation.
Report and block
If something feels wrong, trust your instincts. From a profile or a chat, tap Report to tell us what happened, or Block so you never see each other again. Unmatching someone is permanent too.
We review every report. When you report someone, we keep a copy of your conversation with them so we can look into it. Profiles that break our rules are removed.
If you are in danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 112 in Europe) first.
Community rules
Everyone on Rytmee agrees to these rules. Breaking them can get a profile removed.
- Be 18 or over. Rytmee is for adults only.
- Be yourself. Your own name, your own recent photos, your real age.
- Be kind. No harassment, insults, threats or hate, about anyone.
- Keep it clothed. No nudity or sexual content in photos or on profiles.
- No selling. No ads, promotions, money requests or links to make money.
- Respect a no. If someone isn’t interested, or unmatches, let it go.
